Message: Near the start of the film, when Daniel punches that kid what does he say to him? It sounded Hebrew, not sure since I don't speak it.

Message: Danny calls the student "Yeshiva Bocher," -- "school boy," a rather disparaging thing to say to an adult. Note that the student is carrying a college chemistry (or some academic subject)text book.

Message: After Danny says that, he says:" Do me a favor. Why don't you just hit me." he punches the guy after he grabs his shirt and says again and again, about 16 times and ends with the sentence: "Fucking hit me.Please." Why did he want the other Jewish guy to hit him? Is Danny insane at that moment? It seemed like he was.

Message: I now know why Danny wanted the other guy to hit him. The reason I didn't know why,the first time, was because I,a woman, was mostly concentrating on Ryan lifing the weights. I heard the conversation at the beginning, but I was thinking about Danny.I had to watch it a second time, before I knew the reason why he said "Hit me" so many times.

Message: after just watching the film today, i think danny wanted the guy to hit him because he wanted him to fight back. it has fuller meaning later in the film when the old jewish woman was telling the story about the nazi soldier killing the man's 3 year old son and danny kept asking, "why didn't you fight back?". ...just my thoughts....

Message: hi,
the more thought i give it, the more i think that the whole "fighting back" issue may, in fact, be the crux of the film and may give an indicator about how and why danny transformed from a yeshiva bocher himself into a neo nazi.....i think it might be that to him, the jews never fought back and aren't, therefore, worth fighting for. this is really one of the more disturbing films i've ever seen....provocative in the extreme.
